火車
Portsmouth火車主要有四大方向，London Waterloo, Southampton, Brighton和 Cardiff (Wales)，之後再去其他地區就要轉車。 營運Portsmouth火車主要有硼兩間公司 Great Western Raiway(GWR) 和 South Western Railway (SWR) (MTR 是SWR其中一個股東)
Portsmouth 有四個火車站，其中兩個是終點站 - Portsmouth Harbour (近Gunwharf) 和 Portsmouth & Southsea（近High Street)，另外兩個是中途站 Fratton 和 Hilsea，而所有前往或離開Portsmouth的載客列車都必停Fratton，相反Hilsea就較少列車停靠。由Portsmouth Habour /Portmouth & Southsea開出的列車，前往各目的地的行車時間大約如下：
SWR營運
- 往London Waterloo 1.75 - 2小時 (途經 Havant, Petersfield, Guildford 和 Woking)
- 往Brighton 1.5 - 2小時 (途經 Havant, Chichester, Southwick 和 Hove)
- 往Southampton 45分鐘 - 1小時 (途經 Cosham, Fareham)
GWR營運
- 往Cardiff Central (Wales) 3.75 - 4.5小時 (途經 Cosham, Fareham,Southanpton, Salisbury, Trowbridge, Bath Spa, Newport (Wales)
